SELECTION TYPES

THE

PRE SELECTION

A pre-selection is an optional service that will take approximately 30 mins.
We find that many people are nervous about what to expect at their final
selection appointment. A pre-selection caters as an introductory look at
your included ranges and provides an opportunity to browse the studio for
inspiration with our professional colour consultants to answer all of your
questions and satisfy your design needs.

THE

FINAL SELECTION

A final selection will take approximately 2-3 hours in duration.
Upon arrival at one of our four studios, a colour consultant will be there to greet you and discuss any concepts or design ideas you may have for the tiling of your home.
You can expect to be guided through your builder package inclusions as well as extras and upgrades should you wish to select options outside of your allowance. If you happen to upgrade beyond the standard inclusions,you will be quoted on the spot so you can make an informed decision.
In that time you will have completed all tile, flooring, carpet and window furnishing decisions for the entire home. As you leave, you will have in-hand a copy of your signed selection, a copy of any extra costings and a smile.

HOW TO PREPARE

When it comes to designing your home, the best way to prepare is to simply brain storm a few ideas about the presentation of the home and what your likes and dislikes may be while considering colours, styles and products.
For those wishing to immerse themselves in a large variety of designs, display homes provide an opportunity to see the latest and greatest product options in their natural setting.
If you have available to you, we encourage you to bring a copy of your floor plans and tender to your final selection as well as any sample swatches from your builder colour selections that may aid in cohesively tying your tiling, flooring and window furnishing selections with your overall scheme.

CHOOSE

BUILDER

  • Builder takes deposit from client for build(confirmed sale)
  • Builder notifies THYNK of customer details, provides plans and contract/tender

BOOK

APPOINTMENT

  • THYNK contacts client, and notifies them of upcoming appointment availabilities or
  • Customer books in appointment by calling or using online portal
  • THYNK send confirmation email (details of booking, what to bring, what to expect, etc..)

COLOUR

SELECTION

  • Client arrives to designated selection centre
  • Client may or may not have brought with them stimulus to aid in selecting; vanity colours, bench top colours, paint
    colours, images or pictures from magazines or the internet
  • Commence selecting tiles and associated materials/products for their respective areas
  • Extra costs based on selections made, calculated and signed for on the day
  • Customer signs off on selection made
  • Customer signs off on important technical information which also forms part of their selection
  • Customer is given a copy of all documentation
  • Documentation and extras are sent to the builder for their reference (some builders collect the extra money by putting the cost into the contract, some builders ask Tile Direct to collect the money on their behalf)

  • If products are selected from above standard, extra costs are quoted
  • Customer signs off on selection paper work
  • Documents and extras are sent to the builder (some builders collect the extra money by putting it into the contract, some builders ask THYNK to collect the money on their behalf)
